Here’s the plan: We are going to meet at the Albertson’s parking lot on Redd and the Gateway at 6:00. iblowsh1tup has a good meet up time of 7:30 at a place called Dublin’s Street Pub.

Meeting at 6:00 and getting on the big road at 6:45 should give us enough time to make it to Dublin’s by 7:30 or somewhere close to it.

Same rules apply here as with every meet. No engine revving, no burnouts, no racing, no exhibition of speed of any kind, nothing that attracts unwanted attention.

Forever Ink Tattoo Studio will be closing it’s doors and moving to San Antonio. It was a great year and I’m sad to see the good times end.

David has been an outstanding host. He’s gone out of his way to accommodate us and is one of the nicest people a person can meet. He will be sorely missed.

Cheers and salute to David Herrera.

Aug 19th at FI. We will be celebrating the site’s 1 year ani and have a farewell BBQ for Dave and the FI staff for putting up with us for a year.

Car of the Month – March 2011

Congrats go out to H and his R32 for being chosen March 2011′s Car of the month! Congrats Homie.

When I told him he had won, this was his response;

The R this is how she came along i had a MK3 GTI VR6 that i did alot of work to, while i was in germany i linked up with a an R32 owner that was trying to get rid of his for very cheap,i told him give me 3 days to come up with the mula so i sold my gti to another r32 owner he was bugging my for a while for it,so that morning i call and told him i have the money ready to get the car everything was a go until a hour before we meet he said he cant sell it and of coarse i retaliated in anger with some hurtful words. So i spend the next 10 months looking for an R which is hard to do in germany. we PCS to the states while in FL we drove by vw dealer and blunts saw the R and picked it up the next day

Car of the Month – April 2011

I asked Chris to write me a short summary of the Passat’s evolution, and this is what he had to say;

“I got the car in 2008, it’s an 06 komfort, candy white with black leather B6. it’s dropped on FK highsports and rolls on 18×8.5 RML Snowflakes. it has some shadowline(chrome trim delete) an ebay badgeless grill, some rear window sunshades for my baby and it also has a votex trunk lip spoiler, votex roof rack base bars with rockymounts fork mount bike racks. As far as the future goes with the car it is up in the air right now. If I keep the car then it will get the the front votex lip and skirts maybe even an ecu upgrade.”

Car of the Month – February 2011

So our first COTM winner is Jimmie! Congratz homie and well deserved! I asked Jimmie to write me a lil paragraph or two describing his car, a little of how he felt winning etc… This is what he had to say;

“Wow, guys. I’m a little embarrassed but alotta flattered. I haven’t really done a whole lot to the car. The wheels were the biggest purchase. They’re Wagen Wheels’ WW1 model. They measure 18×8.5 +45 up front and 18×9.5 +48 out back. I’ve always liked the LMs but since I can’t afford the real thing, these were the next best option. Tires on ‘em are stock. I need to go narrower in the front to clear the fender a little better and to go a little lower.

As most of you know, the cup kit came off the Candy White Hype. MR springs on Koni adjustable shocks/struts. These went on the car two weeks after I bought it. My Wife got to drive it to school in stock condition once to show it off before I tore it apart. The suspension is great. Full soft settings all around and feels near to stock. I’m going to dial up the front to help alleviate some of the rubbing in turns.

Other mods are just little trinkets like lighting (LED interior, LED fogs, blackened side markers done at a Wednesday meet), boost gauge on the column, and soon to install the Soundstream 12″ sub and amp in the rear.

I bought this car because I was jealous that my Wife got a new car and I liked all the bells and whistles. The Hype began losing performance, down from 22psi to around 15psi. I figgered it was due in part to the cam follower or the Greddy BOV or the BSH PCV fix or a combination of the three. I just saw this as an out to get into a new car. So I began brainstorming for a very long time about leaving the Hype and what I might want to replace her. So after 24 seconds my mind was made up. I initially wanted the Shadow Blue Metallic but it’s super difficult to find in a four door with options. That left me with Carbon Steel Gray. Not really a bad second choice.”
